Jagga Jatt urf Jagat Singh Virk was a 20th century heroic rebel of Punjab also known as Robin Hood of Punjab for robbing from rich people and distributing the stuff among the poor/needy people. Being of independent nature, he came into the eyes of British, as during the British colonial rule every person of guts and independent nature was watched carefully especially the young men assuming that they might be dangerous for British government’s authority. Jagga was famous in his area because of his helping nature and because of this Zalidar of Kal Mokala village was jealous of him. As a result, he imprisoned Jagga in a false case for 4 years. Later when Jagga was released an incident happened in near by village. Zaildar and his friend inspector misused this incident and summoned again Jagga, seeming another chance to harass him. But he refused. Being angry about the police’s behavior he snatched a rifle from a policeman and killed him. From that day he became a bandit who robbed at gunpoint from the rich to help the poor and needy.
